Tomiwa is a true technology enthusiast who enjoys collaborating with developers across Africa to create amazing new prodicts and services. He is a experienced software engineer and programmer who first ran his first program at 9. He is particularly interested in empowering startups interested in providing truly global problems from a local context. He is a true volunteer and has volunteered for several causes including serving his country in the National Youth Service Corps as an anti corruption agent. He is very comfortable working as an individual as well as on a team.

Building Cloud-powered wearable Apps

In this session you’ll see how to use the Android Wear SDK to build a connected cloud-powered application. Using Android Studio and it’s cloud extensions, you’ll see how to build an app that ‘listens’ for changes in stock prices, and notifies a wearable device. You’ll also see how to use voice controls on the device to trigger interactions with the app, such as buying or selling the stock after a notification.
